The portrait of a mother on a difficult and visceral journey, re-defining beauty, sacrifice and our uniquely human ability to define our own destiny. When Marisa is faced with the harsh reality of her lethal genetic code, she steps into the biggest physical change of her life - but her struggle is more than meets the eye -  moment that leads to a deeper understanding of human identity, and what it means to yourself, and to leave the rest behind.
